About The Children
In Hungary, a family must be registered with the country to receive a referral. Hungarian children available for adoption are generally boys and sibling groups. Most children are over the age of three. Girls are referred occasionally. Most children are of Roma descent, though children of European descent are also occasionally referred. Children have special needs and can have developmental dely.

Hungary requires that both parents meet their child before completing the adoption. The total time required in-country is a minimum of 45 days.Time Frame
There are about 12-24 months between dossier submission and receiving a referral and 1-2 months between referral acceptance and travel.
