Children waiting in Honduras for forever families generally fall between 4 and 10 years of age. There are many sibling groups, especially those with older children or more than two siblings. Children with special needs are also in need of families. Children are cared for in public and private orphanages.
Travel and Time Frame
TravelThe time frame from Referral: In general, it can take 1 to 6 years from when your dossier is received and approved by DINAF.
Time FrameOption 1: Three separate trips ranging from 1-2 weeks for each visit.
Option 2: Two separate trips: 1st trip about 7- 10 days and 2nd trip 4-5 weeks.
