About The Children
Children waiting in Honduras for forever families generally fall between 4 and 15 years of age. There are many sibling groups, especially those with older children or more than two siblings. Children with special needs are also in need of families. Children are cared for in public and private orphanages.

The time frame from Referral: In general, it can take 1 to 6 years from when your dossier is received and approved by DINAF.Time Frame
Option 1: One tri[ at the end of the process for 3-4 weeks.Option 2: Two separate trips: 1st trip about 7-10 days and 2nd trip 3 to 4 week. We highly recommend Option 2. Meeting your child before the adoption will mean they will automatically have U.S. Citizenship upon arrival to the U.S. With option 1 a readoption in your state and additional filing of documents, forms and fees with USCIS will be necessary to obtain U.S. citizenship.

ADOPTION PROCESS
