About The Children
Children waiting in Mexico for forever families are 8 years of age or older, sibling groups, and children that have special needs.
Mexican children come from a variety of ethnic groups that make up Mexico’s rich cultural heritage. These groups are Indigenous Mexican, Afro-Mexican, and Mestizo (Indigenous and Spanish).
Due to the close location of Mexico to the USA, adoption of relatives who qualifies is possible(Kinship adoptions). Our team in Mexico is very knowledgeable about this process. If you are interested about adopting a family member in Mexico, we will arrange a call with our team to see if it is a possibility.
Eligibility

Travel and Time Frame
Travel
2-3 trips. Due to the large amount of paperwork in both the Mexican and U.S. processes, adoptive parents must be prepared to spend approximately 3-6 weeks in Mexico and may be expected to travel several times. This depends on the region where the child is and their system. Closer travel estimates will be given during the process.Time Frame
The average time between when the dossier arrives in Mexico and receiving the referral can take about 18-24 months.
