NEW MDA GOODWILL AMBASSADOR NAMED
Southern Utah, January 6, 2014 — Meisyn Ellison, an energetic 8-year-old from Cedar City, Utah has been named a Local Goodwill Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
As the new Local Goodwill Ambassador, Meisyn will make public appearances throughout the community to encourage volunteers in the Association’s year-round educational and fundraising campaigns and will also take part in a number of the special events.
Meisyn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Stephen Ellison. Her condition was diagnosed as Spinal Muscular Atrophy at the age of 6. Spinal Muscular Atrophy is one of the muscle diseases covered by MDA’s research and care programs.
Meisyn is in the 2th grade. Her favorite part of school is doing art, reading, spelling and math. She also loves anything princesses and fairies. She enjoys going shopping and traveling. Meisyn attends the MDA summer camp.
